We received our wedding
invitation to my husband’s cousin’s wedding in Charleston, South Carolina. Have you seen a sweeter invitation? I love the lace and the map of Charleston inside the
envelope. You just know the wedding is going to be planned beautifully, down to
every last detail.
I can’t believe it is only six weeks away (it sounds like I’m the bride). But really, June 15
and even better, warm summer weather, is quickly approaching.
My husband, Emmerson and I
are staying in a house with my husband’s family – his parents, sisters,
husbands and kids. 15 in all. It will certainly be a full house. We plan to
have most meals there because it’s just easier with all those kids. Does anyone
have meal ideas for a crowd? Think small kitchen, no outdoor grill
and probably a few picky eaters.
Why is spaghetti the only
thing coming to mind? Please post your ideas here.
This is a good recipe and it's sweet so kids like it. You can grill it, bake it, or microwave it.
ReplyDeleteMAPLE GLAZED SALMON
Ingredients:
1/2 cup TFM maple syrup
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon ginger, minced
1 1/4 pounds salmon
2 tablespoons scallions, thinly sliced
Preparation:
Mix all ingredients except salmon and scallions. Cut salmon fillet into 4 serving pieces. Place in shallow glass or plastic dish. Drizzle marinade over fish reserving about 1/4 cup marinade. Refrigerate 30 minutes.
Preheat grill to medium-high, place fish in oiled foil or directly onto oiled grill grate. Cook until fish flakes easily with fork, about 5 minutes per side.
To serve, drizzle reserved 1/4 cup marinade over fish; top with scallions.
That sounds delicious. As long as we have maple syrup, maybe we could try this recipe too. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ellie-krieger/maple-mustard-chicken-thighs-recipe/index.html
ReplyDeleteInstead of marjarom, I just use whatever dried herb I have - thyme, oregano.
